Ingredients
- 12 oz (340g) bowtie pasta
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 or lean)
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup (120ml) beef broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil or unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Cook Pasta:
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.Brown the Beef:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions for 2 minutes, add garlic, then add ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.Build the Sauce:
Reduce heat to low. Pour in heavy cream and beef broth. Stir in paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.Add Cheese:
Stir in parmesan and let it melt into the sauce. Simmer until slightly thickened.Combine with Pasta:
Add the cooked bowtie pasta. Toss everything to coat evenly. Simmer for 2 more minutes.Serve Hot:
Garnish with parsley or extra cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
